The ACROFI is the biannual meeting of the fluid-inclusion researchers from Asian countries. It has the same format as its highly successful counterparts, the European ECROFI and the Pan-American PACROFI. The conference will provide an international forum for exchange of latest research results and ideas between geoscientists from academy, government and industry from Asian countries and other nations focusing on studies of fluid- and silicate-melt inclusions. Students are also expected and encouraged to come to Novosibirsk. According to special position of Russia, which spans vast territories in both Europe and Asia we expect wide participation of fluid-inclusion researchers from both subcontinents. The conference will feature several oral and poster thematic sections. The oral presentations will have the usual format of 15 minute-talks followed by 5 minutes of open discussion (slots of 30 minutes will be allocated to invited talks). Informal discussions are encouraged during receptions, tea breaks (coffee-breaks), poster sessions, and other events. The official language of the meeting is English. Thematic sections 1.
